Plan Your Visit

We understand going to a new church can sometimes be intimidating. Here at Beloved Church we want to do our best to help you feel welcome and at home! On this page you will find some FAQ's and a contact form. Feel free to introduce yourself and ask any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you!

For more information about our DNA, what we believe and our pastors, visit our Heartbeat page.

Do you have to dress up to attend a worship service?

Not at all.  You're welcome to dress comfortable, and come as you are. At Beloved City Church, you will see jeans, jerseys, and the occasional suit and dress. We are a diverse, multi-generational church.

Is there live music?

Yes! We are a community of worshipers who love to sing, raise our hands and make a sound of worship to Jesus. Sometimes we can be loud, other times we can be more reflective. Our music is found from current, contemporary Christian artists and are familiar to what you may hear on the radio.

Is there something for the kids and youth?

We all come together as a family, children and youth during worship. Following the worship children ages 4-12 years are dismissed to participate in their own time of singing, prayer and Bible learning. Every first and third Sunday includes a program for youth ages 13 and up.

What do you offer for babies and toddlers?

There is a quiet space setup in the back of the hall should you require for feeding and additional care for your infant and/or toddler.

Why do you meet in a hall?

As we currently do not own a full time building, we are honoured to have use of Royal Canadian Legion Hall on Sunday mornings. This location has ample parking, wheelchair access, and places us in the heart of Nanaimo. We are open to re-location should a more permanent facility become available as our family grows.

What denomination is Beloved City Church?

We consider ourselves to be non-denominational.  We are partnered with the Apostolic Churches of Pentecost of Canada.  ACOP provides support for our pastors and ministry leaders.  This partnership connects us with a larger group of churches, to build friendships and encourage one another when we come together.
